Camp Helen State Park

Camp Helen State Park is bordered on three sides by the Gulf and Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida. From the parking area, it’s a long hike to the beach.

Coastal dune lakes are extremely rare worldwide. In the United States they occur only along the Gulf Coast. The park is a joy to explore and also has access and boat and paddle board rentals on Lake Powell. You can rent one and paddle down to the lake outfall and the beach.
