The sweetest yellow lab wondered into my office in Seaside today. He appears to be 8 - 10 years old. According to security he has been hanging around in Seaside for many days. I am trying to convince my husband-to-be that we need a third pet, but being more of a realist he says we can keep him until the owner or a new owner can be found.

If anyone knows of someone looking for a large, yellow, male lab, please contact Jennifer at 850.231.3033 (office) or through this message board. He has a collar but no tags. He is trained and very calm and sweet.

Thank you!

See "Golden Retriever found at Cafe Rendevous" thread- CastlesofSand's post- she met someone at Grayton who is missing her yellow lab. I hope it's the same dog!

I have no idea how to connect these 2 threads or I would have- sorry!

I cannot take him. Has anyone checked to see if he is microchipped?

Yes, the owner of Cafe 30-A owns a golden retriever (not a yellow lab) that I've rescued many times in Seagrove.

I'm going to try this again.

CastlesofSand met a woman on Grayton Beach who was looking for her yellow LAB. It had been missing for 30 hours. Check the thread regarding the other found dog- the Golden Retriever at Cafe Rendevouz. Castles posted her message about the lab at the end of that thread. The lab owner left her phone info at the Red Bar.

I talked to a lady at Grayton beach tonight who is missing her yellow lab. He has been missing for 30 hours as of about 7:00 pm. His name is Lucky. She put her phone information at Red Bar.

Got in at 1:30am this morning... boy am I tired! It took us 12 hours this time. We had that sports fund raiser this morning starting at 6:30am! I think I might try to sleep tonight! Keep me posted on the pup! I hope the owners are still around. I would hate to lose one of my dogs!

The owner was in Seaside yesterday and we got her number. She was so excited to know he was ok. His name is Lucky. His collar has smiley faces on it (just to make sure it's the same lab). If you see him PM and I'll give owner's info.

wlaner....have you seen this post below by Steeleing1? Sounds like the person who's holding the dog (and looking for his owner!) is a Jennifer at 850.231.3033. Hopefully these two can hook up and find it's the same dog! :clap_1:

Unfortunately, by the time I learned the dog's name and to whom he belonged, he was gone.

We took him to meet my sister who said she'd keep him until the owners were located, and as soon as he was out of the car he took off toward 30-A. After a slow chase and a fall from a 4 foot ledge (by me, not the dog), we got him back in the car and back to Seaside.

However, he wanted nothing to do with us by that point and began growling when we tried to get him back in the car to go home. So we let him stay exactly where he found me, around my office. There were found dog signs all over Seaside, and several people were feeding him there.

I know this is the same dog that castlesofsand wrote about, and I've left a message with the owner. I have not heard whether or not they have been reunited. He must be very confused by now. I tried to help, but I fear I have done more harm than good. We were all pretty worked up by the end of the evening; and I have the bruises to show.

Please let me know if you hear any more about Lucky.

OMG, I am so sorry!! What a trooper for mankind!! We had a sign outside our door with the lab on it. He was really sweet. Thanks for trying...it only takes a few to change the world.

HAHA I sound like such a hippie but I am the biggest prep!

The closest shelter or animal control is in Panty Maw Sitty or Ft Walton Bch, but I am sure that Lucky dog will be just fine. However, his owner is probably a wreck.

Lucky is most likely running lose during the day at Seaside getting feed by everyone and at night someone is taking him in. Who is this owner? Are they out of town. Seaside is not that big and they should be able to find him if someone visiting did not take him back home from their vacation. If it was my Lab and I was not dead I would find her. For what it is worth! If they do not want him send over to the bay. One more dog will not matter. :(

When I saw him at the Post Office, two little girls were taking him around and posting signs. If everyone keeps bringing him in, the owners may have a difficult time tracking him down. Maybe the owner needs to borrow my hound dog.
