you are a versatile bunch, so here goes: i would love to have some new recipes for various dips to serve at get-togethers and holidays etc. getting tired of the same old thing. any kind of dips will do, for vegies, chips, fruits, anything. and fondues would be good too - my sis is into those big time !

Here are 3 of our favorites...hope it is not too many.

Fruit Dip

8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 small jar marshmallow creme
8 oz sour cream
1 can Eagle Brand milk
Mix ingredients well and serve with fruit...some friends have been known to dip Oreos in it! This can be made with low fat or lite ingredients, but it will be very thin.

Fun Rachel's Spinach Artichoke Dip

1 c shredded parmesean cheese ( not the stuff in the can that some folks sprinkle on spaghetti)
1 c Hellman's Mayo
8 oz softened cream cheese
1 can artichoke hearts drained and chopped
1 bundle green onions, chopped
1 c chopped spinach
Mix well and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with crackers of choice. Really yummy!

Cheese Ball

12 oz softened cream cheese
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/4 c mayo
1/4 c milk, I prefer whipping cream or half & half...much richer
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix
Whisk mayo, milk, and dry ingredients. Mix in cheeses. Form in ball and roll in pecans. Chill and serve with crackers or veges.

I just made myself really hungry!

Martha's Corn Dip

2 cans Mexicorn
2 cans (the tiny ones) green chilies
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 bunch green onions, chopped
10 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoons chopped jalapeno (fresh is better)
1/4 teaspoon sugar

Combine all ingredients and serve with Fritos Scoops.

I have eaten this for dinner many times--

mix one part sour cream with one part Salsa for a nice dip -- even works well served with regular potato chips. ;-)

The model and spokesman, Fabio, got a bird's eye view of a new roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. But a bird apparently couldn't see him -- it collided with his face during the ride. Fabio was reportedly taken to a hospital for minor cuts and released. A spokesman for his publicist said, "Oh my god! Think if his mouth was open!"

Ha, Kurt, you're a really funny guy! I almost spit out my food when I saw the post of what's-his-name (not Fabio, the other guy -- I guess his 15 minutes of fame didn't help me remember his name!).

Black Bean Dip

Preheat oven: 350
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh corn kernels
3/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1 small can chopped jalapenos (or fresh)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Mix first 10 ingredients; I usually add more Parmesan but that's me.
Heat in oven for about 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with cilantro and fresh lime.
Serve with tortilla chips.
