Bill Evett is playing the guitar and singing at Cerulian's. He is a 30-A favorite.

Sounds like we're well on the way to the $20 Burger, fries and coke I warned about back in March

Not liking those prices, but how much is gas going to cost to get to Freeport and back?

Well, if your suv gets 16 miles per gallon, you could make it from Watercolor to south Freeport and back on $2.73 worth of gas, today.

That is a little high...

But think of all the suckers that have been paying upwards of 8 bucks over at Pickles for chicken fingers. When you're on vaca, people shell out the cash. I bet a bunch of people won't even blink at that. You know?

Who owns that space?

Very good point, KimmiFunn. A tourist may not go to these places more than once, while here, but we locals who have chosen to live here, have a very limited number of places which we can afford to frequent. (I think the last time I ate at Pickles was about two years ago, and while I like the sandwiches at Rolly Polly, spending $5 for a lemonade which tastes aweful just doesn't cut the mustard for me.)

My answer to high sandwich prices at the beach? A good old bologny and tomatoe sandwich on white wheat with Hellman's mayo and Cheezits on the side. YUMMY!!!

Our 'high end' beach picnic fare is a couple of sandwiches and drinks from Emerald Coast Coffee or Publix, and it works out nowhere near that much.
