maybe you could give some descriptions or share some photos of what you are selling. Also, you might try the "For Sale" forum for posting these items.

TO ANY AND ALL CONCERNED,

Now, after many months of research and correspondence, we post the following information regarding "PROVENANCE" with this set of poker chips.

1) This set was made in 1954 by TR KING, ordered by, and shipped to LOCKHEED CORPORATION for use aboard his AIR FORCE ONE, THE COLUMBINES, for PRESIDENT EISENHOWER, and all who traveled throughout his administration.

2) This set consists of 500 chips: 200 white, 150 pink, 100 light blue, 50 yellow (gold).

3) It is in the original, wood case, made by TR KING in the late 1940's.

4) It is the ONLY, KNOWN, COMPLETE SET, now available for sale, to the general public, by the owner of the set.

5) The "PRESIDENTIAL COAT OF ARMS" is on both sides of all the chips, and has been verified by the UNITED STATES HERALD SOCIETY.

6) This is one of two PRESIDENTIAL SETS, made by TR KING, exclusively for PRESIDENTIAL USE. The other set was made in 1949, for PRESIDENT TRUMAN, and is now located in the TRUMAN LIBRARY. (800 chips, 200 white, 200 royal blue, 200 red, 200 yellow)

7) The chips are SMALL CROWN, CROWN-CROWN, in design.

8) We can also provide complete information regarding the set from the time it was placed on board President Eisenhower's', Air Force One, to the present location of the set today.

TR KING closed their doors August, 2006, and the poker chips, now, are of considerable interest among those within the chip collectors hobby. The historical value of this set must also be recognized to be of significant value to all who collect presidential memorabilia worldwide.

Complete contact information regarding this set, from TR KING, will be provided, at the owners discretion, to all interested parties, concerning the purchase of this RARE COLLECTIBLE, A ONE OF A KIND ITEM, THE EISENHOWER, AIR FORCE ONE, POKER CHIP SET.

Now my curiosity is up, and I am wondering how did the Presidential poker chips come into your possession?:idontno:

The chip set was a gift, passed on from one presidential steward, to another, who served aboard AIR FORCE ONE at a later date. They have been in a vault for better than 40 years. We are assisting in the sale of the set for the owner. We have done most all of the "search" on the set, and have actually talked to the gentleman who made the set personally, while working at TR KING in 1954. It is by no means, a "must sell scenario." We can provide full documentation on proof of ownership, and the set can be viewed personally, by those interested, with prior arrangements in place, and agreed upon by the owner of the set. Please feel free to ask any and all questions regarding any of the items for sale. There are also several pens available from the Johnson Admin as well. Thank you.

So what kind of money are we talking about the chips bringing in potentially? I have no idea, as I tend to only accumulate junk, rather than collect much of anything, except some for a few bottles of wine. Any idea on the range of prices where something like this would fall between? Just curious.

Well, at this point we are pretty much clueless on the TRUE VALUE of the set of chips. A well known author, collector, and historian has told us the set is priceless in his expert opinion. His comments were, "I WISH THE SET WAS MINE." We made some mistakes when posting about this set many months ago, and, went on the word of others concerning what was what. I finally did the research by phone, email, mail, etc., personally. "PROVENANCE" is the key to the sale of any item such as this. We now have that in place, and are moving forward at this point. What is the price? We did turn down $49,000 late last June, or, early July. They have told us there is a buyer for every price, I guess we shall eventually find that out. Our feelings are to let as many people know about the set thru forums such as this, chat rooms, websites, etc. We will also be willing to consider a finder' fee if anyone finds a buyer, with the consent of the owner, and all parties involved. The BOTTOM LINE, the set is one of a kind, of historical significance, in excellent condition, and there will be no more ever made by TR KING. Thanks to all for taking a look, we are open to any ideas, and suggestions to assist us in the sale of this rare item. Cheers! :clap_1:

Sotheby's no longer takes "single items" for auction. They are more into the estate sale, and/or large portfolios with their clients these days. But, thank you for the suggestion and taking the time to post.
