Grayton Beach Flatwoods Trail

The Grayton Beach Flatwoods Trail is within Grayton Beach State Park on the north side of Scenic 30A. There is a parking lot across from the entrance to the park. The trail meanders through several distinct ecosystems and is a great place for a hike or bike ride to experience South Walton outdoors.
The full length of the trail runs about 4.5 miles between the parking lot on Scenic 30A eastward to County Road 395, north of Seagrove Beach, where it connects to Point Washington State Forest. But most folks take the shorter route. About a mile along the trail you’ll come upon the Western Lake Loop Trail which will take you to the northern edge of Western Lake and back. It’s a spectacular view and not one many SoWal locals or visitors ever get to experience.
