South Walton Fire District Polar Bear Plunge January 1, 2026

Rinse off the old and welcome the new! South Walton Fire District will hold its Annual Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day at Ed Walline Public Beach Access. In-person sign-up starts at 11AM at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar on January 1, 2026, which will be followed by a costume contest at 12PM, and the Plunge itself at 1PM.

Online registration is now open, check out the link here to sign up: https://tinyurl.com/SWFDPBP26. Proceeds benefit SWFD Community Risk Reduction Programs like free CPR classes.

Cost of attendance for plunge participants will be $20 per person and you receive a free event towel with your entry fee. Children 12 years old and under plunge for FREE, but they do not receive the event towel.

After the plunge is over, join back at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar to celebrate the start of the New Year.
