Seacrest

Seacrest is on the eastern end of South Walton and features outdoor activities centered on Camp Creek Lake and Camp Creek Golf Club. Camp Creek Lake spans from Point Washington State Forest to the Gulf outfall between Seacrest and Watersound Beach.
Not too long go, before new urbanism, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach, Seacrest was “the boonies”. An isolated stretch of beach with old cottages and towering dunes. Seacrest is often confused with Seacrest Beach, a planned community sandwiched between Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach.
Seacrest begins after the big bend in the road on Scenic Highway 30A, just east of WaterSound Beach and just west of Alys Beach. The road still follows the Gulf here, and passes through areas with an up-close view of just how wild and dense the coastal scrub can get.
Camp Creek Lake is one of South Walton’s outstanding coastal dune lakes and is the heart of the community. The Camp Creek Golf Club is part of Watersound club and is very popular with natural marshlands (perfect for wading birds), more than 200 live oaks, and its challenging landscape.
Alys Beach lies on the eastern side of Seacrest, with Rosemary Beach just beyond. The neighborhood of Seacrest Beach consists of homes and condos centered around The Villages of South Walton with excellent shopping and dining.
